The Keystone Fiddlers was founded in 2019 by sisters, Melissa Hagy and Christy King, who formed the band in a desire to give their music students opportunities to play with other musicians and to acquire valuable experiences performing for other people. Based out of south central Pennsylvania, the band has performed at many venues including the Maryland Irish Fest, the Kutztown Folk Festival, and the Rose and Shamrock Festival. The Fiddlers enjoy playing a variety of music, including Irish, Scottish, and even some Christmas music.
Christy is one of the founding members and teachers for the Keystone Fiddlers. An avid fiddle player since the age of 4, Christy is proficient in several styles of music, focusing mainly on the Scottish and Irish styles, and has competed and performed all over the east coast. Christy enjoys teaching people of all ages to play the fiddle and cello, and is passionate about sharing her love of music to everyone around her.
Christy teaches private fiddle and cello lessons in Lancaster, Ephrata, and Newmanstown, PA. If you are interested in lessons with Christy, you can reach her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
